International English (M) Sdn Bhd (IE), established in 2002, is a member of the Knowledgeware group of companies. IE is the master Franchisor of English Language products from IELTS preparation courses to General English and English for Special Purposeswhich includes Nursing, Accounting, Hospitality and Tourism. In the second phase it will be offering a series of other English language products. The founders of IE have more than twenty years experience in the knowledge industry throughout the region. They are driven in their pursuit to provide affordable education for the masses.

As a consequence, IE wanted to develop a system (Instructional Exchange Framework) as a tool for effectively and efficiently delivering online courses offered by them to franchisees and to manage the franchise operations. Cyber Village developed LearningSTAR™ in accordance to e-learning standards framework and in line with international e-learning standards such as SCORM and AICC to integrate or upload third party content. Some of the features include course creation and learning management, assessment management, e-commerce applications, workflow engine and content management system, incorporating an animation content creation tool.

For IE, the LearningSTAR™ product was customized to support their franchise model and comes with additional functionalities like Tutor Management, Bulletin Board and Learning Tools (Calendar, To-Do-List, Calculator, Notepad etc) as well as a workflow-based approval engine.
