Cyber Village specialises in the new generation web-based technologies to build and implement leading edge e-business applications to reengineer, streamline or enhance operational efficiencies for multi-national corporations and small medium enterprises.

E-Business Software Products

Cyber Village has, over the past few years invested internal resources to research and develop several e-business software products utilising the latest in web-based technologies. These software products enable the Company to focus on certain industries or sectors and target specific markets which had have strong demands for certain software. Some of the products which we have developed include an Internet Banking, Electronic Procurement, Project Management and E-Learning applications.

E-Business Application Development & Implementation Services

Our e-business application development and implementation services can be approximately categorized in two types:

(i)	Customisation & implementation of existing e-business application software
	In addition to developing and marketing our software products, we are often required by our clients to implement the purchased third party or our software applications as well as incorporate special customisation requirements to meet the specific needs of the client.

(ii)	Full customisation of a new e-business application software
	In the event whereby there are no suitable ready-made applications which can cater to the requirements of the clients, we are often requested to propose a completely tailor-make bespoke software application.

As part of our application development and implementation services, we assist our clients in developing their e-business processes, by offering a wide range of services including:

	E-Business and Brand Strategy Consulting;
	Project Management Services;
	Creative Design utilising enabling tools to produce an interactive user experience;
	Web Application and Technology infrastructure development covering application software development, databases, networking, security and infrastructure architecture;
	Systems Integration to connect clients' Internet-based systems to their existing back office systems such as accounting, enterprise resource planning and other legacy systems; and
	Technology Training enabling clients to put in place trained personnel to effectively manage an e-business operation.

E-Business Process & Application Outsourcing & Maintenance

Outsourcing and maintenance is the segment of our core business which enables the Company to enjoy a certain degree of recurring and more predictable stream of revenue. Outsourcing is the process of shifting/delegating/transferring a service/process/function to a third-parties/external service provider, which would otherwise be an in-house function/service/process Outsourcing and maintenance currently contributes on a small proportion of our overall income. However, as part of the overall business growth strategy, we expect to focus on increasing the revenue generated by this segment of our business, especially as the concept of outsourcing gains acceptance among the business and IT community in Malaysia. Our services under outsourcing and maintenance includes:

(i)	E-Business application development outsourcing & maintenance
	Very often after we have successfully implemented a software applicator for a client, we win be requested to sign a maintenance contract for the software. These contacts will normally incorporate maintenance and support for the software. It will also include outsourcing elements for the continual upgrades as well as the change requests required by the clients.

(ii)	E-Business process outsourcing
	As fat of the outsourcing business segment, we are also actively seeking projects which enables Cyber Village to assist our clients outsource certain e-business processes. Fr example, instead of charging a one time fee for the implementation of a document imaging & control system, Cyber Village can provide both the software solution and the service team to perform the physical imaging tasks. This removes the non-value adding tasks and functions firers the client control and responsibilities. In addition, by changing the client or a per transaction basis, it removes the need to the client to invest heavily in the initial set up of the operations to automate their e-business processes.
